Three Sigma Alpha Epsilon (∑AE) brothers who met at the University of Illinois in the early 1990s have come together decades later to give back in a big way. Greg Levine '95Karl Kochendorfer '94, and Jeff Meunier '94 recently established the ∑AE Fraternity Engineering Scholarship, an endowed fund that will begin supporting undergraduate SAE members in the College of Engineering and CS+ programs starting Fall 2025.

The idea grew out of a shared desire to give future students the same kind of experience that shaped their own: a mix of academic challenge, professional growth, and lasting brotherhood. Each has gone on to lead in his field—Greg in business and manufacturing, Karl in medicine and health IT, and Jeff in tech and engineering.

They credit ∑AE and the University with laying the foundation for both their careers and their decades-long friendship. Through this scholarship, they hope to support students who are pursuing technical degrees while actively contributing to their chapter.

The fund welcomes contributions from alumni who want to help future generations of ∑AE brothers thrive in both engineering and fraternity life. Make a donation today!
