David A. Turner ’94 was elected the 37th International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. during the organization’s 2025 conclave in Tampa, Florida, marking a significant milestone in a career defined by leadership, service and professional excellence. A graduate of the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Turner’s election reflects his deep commitment to Phi Beta Sigma and the service he has demonstrated throughout his career. On December 9, 2025, the Illinois community celebrated Turner’s achievement at an alumni reception in Las Vegas.

In each role, he focused on strengthening governance, expanding philanthropy and ensuring financial sustainability—priorities that now guide his presidency as he leads Phi Beta Sigma on a global scale.
Outside of Phi Beta Sigma, Turner is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer with extensive experience in real estate development, international finance, and public policy service. He and his wife, Michelle D. Russell-Turner, are the parents of three children.
