LGBT Resource Center Advisory Committee

Mission Statement

The mission of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Resource Center is to foster an environment that is open, safe and inclusive for people of all sexualities and gender identities. The Center is a resource not only for the LGBT community but for the entire University community. It exists for anyone who is who is interested in learning about LGBT people, issues, and concerns. For the LGBT community, the Center provides support for full inclusion of everyone in the University — including those who experience discrimination or who need support as a member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender campus community.

Committee Charge

The purpose of the LGBT Resource Center Advisory Committee is to review, evaluate and make recommendations regarding the policies, programs, resources and services of the LGBT Resource Center by serving the needs of students, staff, faculty, and community members of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. The committee works to ensure an environment where interdisciplinary learning acknowledges and recognizes people of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender experience.
