The overarching work of the Illinois Leadership Coordinating Committee (ILCC) is to provide counsel and direction for the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and the Provost as it relates to campus leadership initiatives.
The ILCC also helps inform the Illinois Leadership Center, a Student Affairs/Academic Affairs partnership which serves as a hub for leadership education across campus. The Leadership Center provides curricular and co-curricular leadership development resources through day-long leadership programs, workshops, employment opportunities, a certificate program and varied campus collaborations. The Center also supports the interdisciplinary Minor in Leadership Studies, hosted by the College of ACES.
The ILCC is organized yearly into working groups, which are formed to address specific charges provided each fall by the Provost and the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Examples of working groups include: assessment, strategic partnerships, stewardship, ad hoc groups, etc.
Roster
30 faculty/staff members
Time Commitment
The full committee meets approximately two times a semester. Between meetings, committee members will serve on working groups, which may meet additional times during the semester depending on their given charge. SLAT will meet monthly outside of full committee meetings.
