Missions & Goals

  • Empower women with opportunities to recognize, celebrate and strengthen their diversity, cultures, abilities, experiences and identities.

 

  • Expand the understanding of issues, needs and goals of women students and encourage persons of all genders to take an active role in confronting issues and exploring goals which will improve equity and equality for all women.

 

  • Identify personal, social, economic and political issues which adversely affect women from full participation on campus and in society.

 

  • Offer support through counseling, advocacy, education, and social activism.

 

  • Encourage academic achievement and retention and post-graduate goals by offering advisment and distributing financial awards to women returning to school after an interruption.

 

  • Create a greater sense of community through offering formal and informal events and activities related to the complex demands of school, work, home and community in a safe and welcoming space.

 

  • Provide services and programs to all students regardless of race, gender, color, religion, sexual/affectional preference, age, ability, economic class, or any other significant identity.
