Welcome to Diversity Education
Another newcomer to OIIR, the Office of Diversity and Social Justice Education Program offers a variety of workshops and training programs to prepare Illinois students for living and thriving on our diverse campus. These programs provide opportunities for students to improve understanding and establish skills for effectively communicating across cultural differences and prepares them for careers in a diverse workforce.
iConnect is a workshop geared for incoming students to expose them to differences, helping them recognize shared experiences. Facilitators are fellow students trained to use collaborative exercises and engage them in discussions to improve communication skills and foster colloboration and understanding.
