Connect Home to Campus

• Invite your families to campus for a day of fun and education
• Enjoy activities (i.e. movies, swimming, etc.) in the ARC and CRCE with your little brothers and sisters
• Invite teen family members to "Experience Illinois" as a possible choice for college
• Take a family portrait
• Connect family to your new home away from home

 

UPPERCLASS Volunteers WANTED

Latina/o Family Visit Day 09’ Freshmen Connecting Home to Campus The LFVD committee needs your help in VOLUNTEERing
• Families of freshmen are invited to campus for a day of fun and education
• Host activities (i.e. movies, swimming, etc.) in the ARC and CRCE with the little brothers and sisters of freshmen
• Host teen family members while they experience Illinois as a possible choice for college
• Assist with family portraits
• Host parents during the parent programming
• Show families how you connect home to campus, your home away from home
• Assist in translation during the various sessions and activities throughout the day
• Eat lunch with family members and new freshmen
• Include your organization in the resource fair “mini quad-day”
• …last but not least, get involved with the planning leading up to LFVD!
