Student Sustainability Committee

This committee will review and recommend projects to be funded from two student fees, the $5-per-semester Sustainable Campus Environment fee and the $2-per-semester Cleaner Energy Technologies fee paid by students.

The committee’s purposes are to: (a) explore options for the use of the student fees for sustainability and alternative energy generation, (b) evaluate the feasibility of projects being discussed with the professional assistance of engineers in the Division of Facilities and Services, and (c) obtain cost estimates from the Division of Facilities and Services. Recommendations of the committee are forwarded to the Director of the Office of Sustainability for approval.

Time Commitment

The Subcommittee meets 1 hour every other week. Plus about 4-6 hours a month of "other work."
