McKinley Adivsory Board discusses and makes decisions on issues related to health on the U of I campus.

Everitt Lab. I've spent more time here than anywhere else in the past six years, and its grown on me. But do some energy efficiency upgrades already!

Who needs an ipod when you have Pandora?
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
I want to teach - engineering, design, sustainability, and make the biggest difference that I can.
What does your Campus Committee do?
Our campus committee allocates student fees to improve the sustainability of our campus. We look at thinks like lighting upgrades, heating/air conditioning retrofits, sustainable landscaping, and so many other initiatives, and find the way to use YOUR money to make the biggest impact on right here.
How did you get involved with your particular Campus Committee?
A friend of mine served on it, and I thought what she was doing was cool. The first time I applied, I was turned down, but I was picked the next time. Then I ended up chairing it.

Firehaus because the loaded fries are awesome!
What's your favorite building on campus? Why?
The ARC or BIF (Business Instructional Facility); they are both such state of the art facilities, and I feel so privileged to have them on my college campus!

What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
I would LOVE to travel to at least 15 different countries (so far I have been to 5!)
What does your Campus Committee do?
I am on two committees (Culture of Wellness Committee and Campus Recreation Advisory Committee). Both of these committees work towards bettering the overall campus community from a health and wellness perspective.
How did you get involved with your particular Campus Committee?
I work for Campus Recreation, and I was fortunate enough to get plugged into these committees as a result of my employment.

Ballroom in Union building -- it provides healthy food for reasonable price.
What's your favorite building on campus? Why?
Siebel. It is designed beautifully, provides lots of modern facilities and is well ventilated.
What's "now playing" in your iPod?
Some house music.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
Starting my own company as an entrepreneur.
What does your Campus Committee do?
I was a member of The Career Center advisory board where they provide free services to students for finding job, internship or writing resume and cover letter.
How did you get involved with your particular Campus Committee?
I was trying to find an internship for next summer and I came across the committee and I thought it is a good place to get involved where I can both learn and help.

What's your favorite spot to eat on campus? Why?
Potbelly is my favorite place on campus to eat because its a great place to sit and eat if you have the time, but if you're on the run the sandwiches are good to go, too.
What's your favorite building on campus? Why?
My favorite building on campus is the African American Cultural Center because I can go there for assistance, see friends, and meet new people. Without fail if someone is looking for me they just have to go to the cultural center and they will be sure to find me.
What's "now playing" in your iPod?
Well my iPod is currently out of commission, which is sad because I'm living a soundtrackless life, but the song "now playing" on my itunes is Vegas by Sara Bareilles.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
My biggest dream is to follow the tennis grand slams around and attend the matches.
What does your Campus Committee do?
I am a member of the African American Cultural Center Advisory Board and as a result I am on the Student Cultural Programming Fee. As a member of SCPF we review applications and allocate funds to culturally relevant programs. I also am a walking billboard advising people to apply to SCPF.
How did you get involved with your particular Campus Committee?
I randomly found out about the Campus Committees from the African American Cultural Center list-serve and I thought it would be a good thing to help me get more involved.

What's your favorite spot to eat on campus? Why?
I like to try different places. There are some places that are unique to U of I, but I really like Potbelly's and Bombay Grill! I also like Evo's Cafe a lot.
What's your favorite building on campus? Why?
The Illini Union just because it is the central place where I can find entertainment or study for an exam, or just meet up with people and hang out. It has a lot of events going on all the time.
What's "now playing" in your iPod?

What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
I want to be a CEO by 30.
What does your Campus Committee do?
I am part of Leadership Awards and we select candidates to receive various different scholarships.
How did you get involved with your particular Campus Committee?
I was involved in something similar with LAS Council, therefore I applied for this, and I am glad I did. I really liked the selection process and so on.

What's your favorite spot to eat on campus? Why?
Flat top, because it's nice, casual, delicious, and all you can eat!
What's your favorite building on campus? Why?
BIF, because it represents the prestige of the College of Business as a preeminent program at the University. It's also the first LEADS certified green building at the U of I.
What's "now playing" in your iPod?
A lot! I love music, but right now I would have to say T.I. because I was planning on going to the concert...
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
To be successful and a positive role model for my fellow Americans.
What does your Campus Committee do?
Evaluates programs and operations at the Asian American Cultural Center and provides recommendations/input on anything the center can improve on.
How did you get involved with your particular Campus Committee?
I first heard about it from seniors and student senators that had served on the committee and were interviewing for new members. I was actually recommended for the position and here I am.

My favorite spot is subway. The reason being is because its affordable, quick and can be healthy.
What's your favorite building on campus? Why?
My favorite building on campus would have to be the Union. The reason being is because it contains everything, places to eat,places to study, a computer lab, conference rooms etc,.
What's "now playing" in your iPod?
Right now I have mostly upbeat "summer" songs playing. I'm really ready for the weather to change.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
One of my biggest dreams/goals is to have a successful career that I'm great at, love, and impacts people's lives.
What does your Campus Committee do?
I was on the Bruce D. Nesbitt African-American Cultural Program Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to review, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding the policies, programs and services of the African American Cultural Program.
How did you get involved with your particular Campus Committee?
I applied to be on the committee last spring. And was excited to hear over the summer that my application was accepted.

McAlister’s in the Union. Nice sandwiches and great iced tea.

CRCE. The heated pool and hot tub are fabulous!

What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
To write a book that will encourage others to live life to the fullest
What is the name of your Campus Committee and why did you get involved with it?
Campus Recreation Advisory Committee. I’m a PhD student in RST interested in work-life balance and integrated leisure. I want to represent the recreation needs of people of different ability levels and help promote wellness throughout the campus community.
What does your Campus Committee do?
We provide information about the interests and desires of students, faculty and staff so these perspectives can be considered in deciding what recreation programs and services to offer. We also provide input related to recreation policies and the Campus Rec budget.

What's your favorite spot to eat on campus and why?
Timpone's in Urbana. It is a nice place to run to for a quick lunch but also a great place to bring your parents or go on a date.
What's your favorite building on campus and why?
Foellinger Auditorium -- at night when they lights are on.
What's "now playing" in your iPod?
The new U2 CD -- No Line on the Horizon... I love it!
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
My biggest dream would be to be involved in politics in some way -- whether on a local, state or national level.
What is the name of your Campus Committe and why did you get involved with it?
Panhellenic Council (PHC), the umbrella organization for many of the University's sororities. I joined a sorority my freshman year and became very involved in it. After being in my chapter for two and a half years, I felt I received so much (in terms of leadership experiences and friendships) and I wanted to give back to the entire sorority community. That is why I decided to run for Panhellenic Council.
What does your Campus Committee do?
Panhellenic Council oversees 25 of the sororities on our campus. PHC provides many scholarship, leadership and wellness programs for our sororities. We also coordinate philanthropies and oversee the social events of our chapters.

What's your favorite spot to eat on campus and why?
I enjoy eating at Papa Dells for their delicious stuffed pizza and homey environment.
What's your favorite building on campus and why?
My favorite building on campus would have to be Altgeld Hall. I think the bell tower is awesome and I love that it looks like a castle.

Bob Schneider's CD I'm Good Now, it's pretty chill.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
A big goal of mine is to be better friends with my younger sister.
What is the name of your Campus Committee and why did you get involved with it?
I was on the Service Fee Advisory Committee and I got involved because a friend and former member told me about his great experience.
What does your Campus Committee do?
Every semester students pay the service fee as part of their tuition expenses. SFAC works to decide how this money is best distributed according to students' interests. It is by far the best opportunity I've had to affect decisions that directly impact campus. Last semester SFAC members voted on issues such as increasing funding for the Office of Women's Resource's, increasing pay for school psychologists and nurses at McKinley, and debating the funds for other important campus programs.

What is one of your biggest goals or dreams?
I want to be successful in everything I encounter throughout life. I would like to be a famous model and/or actress, if that does not fall through I would like to have a successful career in advertising or any media related field.

I was apart of the Student Leadership Committee and I participated in it because I wanted to be more involved in campus activities.

As a committee member on SLA we had to review applications for a scholarship of our choice and choose appropriate winners.
