Tuition Policy Advisory Board
This committee advises the Provost about tuition policy. Specifically the committee discusses with the Provost the basis for, and intended uses of, any proposed tuition increases. In doing so, the committee provides a student voice in the process of formulating tuition policy. The committee's advice is transmitted by the Provost through the Chancellor to the President of the University and to the Board of Trustees, which determines tuition policy.
The committee is appointed by the Provost, is constituted to be broadly representative by college unit, gender and racial ethnicity of the undergraduate and graduate student bodies, and includes two ex-officio representatives from the Office of the Provost. To ensure the broadest student representation, student members may not serve on both the Service Fee Advisory Committee and the Tuition Policy Advisory Committee.
