Ways to Get Involved

Your gift is always gratefully accepted at Student Affairs. Another truly inspiring gift for students is for you to donate your time, and share your experiences and expertise with these young adults. Student Affairs is dedicated to finding ways to connect students with our communities and friends and alums who have wisdom and experiences to share. Here are just a few ways you can get involved!

Facilitators/Coaches

Illinois Leadership is always looking for friends and alums who are willing to share their expertise and their time with students who can benefit from their interaction. The i-programs are a great way to connect with students to discover their aspirations, and it gives coaches the opportunity toshare insights and perspectives from your invaluable experience.

Student Affairs Advisory Council

The Student Affairs Advisory Council plays an active role in bringing about change for Student Affairs. Meeting twice a year with the Vice Chancellor, this council helps bring a unique perspective of valued alums into focus as we determine the vision for students on campus.

Recruiting

Another great way to connect with students is through recruiting. HireIllini.com helps you get in touch with Illinois students who share your education with this great University, and offers a professional venue to some pretty outstanding career hopefuls.

Networking

To keep in touch with today's students and yesterdays alums, there are two great networking resources. AlwaysIllinois is a fairly new website dedicated to connecting today's Illinois students and recent graduates. Not just for young adults, this venue also offers valuable networking opportunities to anyone connected with Illinois to create news groups, offer professional experience and solicit feedback from other Illinois participants. The Alumni Association offers up-to-date information for all Illinois alums, and literally thousands of connections to Illinois alums all over the world.
